Thesepaintings explore the idea/destination/ideal of Paradise. Imaginarydream state environments join stylized elements from the natural worldand everyday life. Themes of transformation, duality, searching, andabundance are rendered with an aesthetic rooted in Byzantineiconography, American folk art, contemporary figurative illustration,and geometric ornamentation.
